Pool Table Felt
So I damaged my father’s pool table felt that happed to be attached to his favorite item in the home. This minor mistake sent me straight to the proverbial dog house for quite some time. Okay, so it wasn’t really minor at all. The tear went from one end of the pool table to the other. I won’t go into the details of how it happened. I’m not exactly sure how I managed to do it myself. All I remember is everything suddenly turning black in my vision. I could only see a small area directly in front of me. (I guess that would be tunnel vision.) In that small area was significantly damaged pool table felt that was beyond rescue. This is not to suggest that I didn’t try to save it. The pool table felt just didn’t want to go on anymore. Since this tragic event would leave a mark on my relationship with my father for the rest of our lives I decided to make good on the whole thing. I spent the summer saving up for new pool table felt for Dad’s favorite recreational item. It turns out that this little mistake of mine turned into a great adventure for me. I decided to bypass the average Joe’s pool table felt and go for something that screams, “Now that’s cool!” Why not make a seemingly tragic event into a moment of triumph? It would just take some saving and some shopping. Actually, saving for the pool table felt didn’t take quite as long as I thought. I discovered this as I did my online shopping for replacement felt for the item. There were so many great choices and they were much cheaper than I thought. This was all good because the sooner that I fixed Dad’s pool table felt, the sooner my life would get back to normal. I found the best selection of pool table felt when I was searching through the Internet. Instead of purchasing regular old green stuff I decided to choose something that Dad would really love. Since he is a fan of old war movies and he likes to hunt I figured that a camouflage design would be perfect for his replacement pool table felt. Not only did I find pool table felt that has a full color camouflage design I also found one that is in blue. This is Dad’s favorite color and it actually goes better in the game room that the old green stuff did. I made my purchase and things are going great. In fact, I think Dad likes the pool table more than he ever did before.
